Remarkable Jobs are assisting a Reading based, Data migration consultancy in attracting Project Engineer / Senior Consultant to join their team in Reading.

The role is not a traditional 'Client facing' role and it is anticipated most of the client communication is completed via email/phone.

Project Engineer / Senior Consultant required Skills include:


  • Good to Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Exchange at server side rather than client
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft SQL scripting and database structure / navigation
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and competent way with clients via all communication methods
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and competent way with peers
  • Happy to work on their own

Although not essential, the following experience/exposure in the following would be a distinct advantage for the Project Engineer / Senior Consultant role


  • Lotus Domino
  • C#
  • MCP certification
  • PowerShell scripting experience
  • Knowledge of archiving platforms (e.g. EV, SourceOne, EAS etc.)
  • Knowledge of cloud service - Azure / AWS etc

Software Engineer / C#

Consultant / Software Engineer

Location: Homebased & Office based

Salary: £depending on relevant experience

Remarkable Jobs are delighted to be working with an established Data Migration and archiving consultancy company based in Reading who due to expansion seek a Consultant / Software Engineer to join their team. The role is not a traditional client facing role as predominantly the migration is performed off premise.

It is anticipated that this role will be predominantly home based with weekly visits to the office in Reading, Berkshire and possibly 'some' client visits.

Consultant / Software Engineer skills would include:


  • Good to Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Exchange (server side)

  • Skills for this would include Web based development skills, C#, API and have exposure to moving Windows to Cloud (and associated development)

This role would be ideal for a developer/designer that loves to interact with the client and wants to focus on the product side of things.

Product Development Designer (UX/UI) role include:

It is likely the successful candidate for this role will have exposure in a similar position whereby they are conducting user interviews via video/phone and provide:

Develop interactive designs to engage users and drive usage.

Creating specifications wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes

Gathering user research and usability testing.

Working closely with technology stakeholders, building and owning a design system to establish consistency, best practices, and standards.

Liaising with the market-facing and technology team to utilise the evaluation of user interactions and collect data to influence product decisions.

Understand product, performance management, and coaching aspects to create solutions.

Product Development Designer (UX/UI) skills will include:


  • Minimum 3+ years of a proven track record of developing user interfaces and interaction designs - Not hard coding
  • Experience in User Testing and Research – Essential
  • UX and UI – Minimum 2 years
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating design rationales, visual sensibilities, product thinking, and problem-solving.
  • Hands on experience in creating wireframes, user flows, process flows and site maps
  • Proficiency in design and wireframing tools like Adobe XD, Sketch and alike.
  • Good knowledge of web analytics such as Google Analytics, Hotjar and alike.
  • Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines and thrive in an agile environment.
