Salary: £35k to £46k depending on experience

We at Remarkable Jobs are delighted to be representing our client who is a multi-award-winning global event design, AV and technical production company with offices in both London and Dubai, who specialise in producing high quality live events to a wide range of clients.

They are both looking to recruit a ‘Draughtsperson’ and ‘Senior Draughtsperson’ to manage the draughting operations across the scenic and staging departments.  The successful candidate will have extensive technical experience in detailing construction for high end events, staging and venues and have the ability to apply their skills to other sectors as and when required.

 

The Key Responsibilities for the ‘Draughtsperson' role:


  • Take client briefs and ideas and then turn them into detailed working drawings and prepare for production.
  • Providing advice on construction drawings, build advice and estimating.
  • Handling the briefing of the team once drawings have been approved and throughout the production process.
  • Ensure the quality and consistency of output is always high, completed to deadlines and within budget.
  • Performing accurate site surveys as and when required.
  • Ensure that the company’s health and safety policy is adhered to.


Key Skills and experience required for the ‘Draughtsperson' role:


  • Experienced in creating technical drawings for joinery, metal shop, mechanics and modelling.
  • Experience with multiple Autodesk packages is essential. Plus experience with Sketch-Up, Solidworks or Vectorworks is desirable
  • Understanding manufacturing methods and materials.
  • Experience in creating solid models and presentation drawings.
  • Strong experience with creating and reading construction drawings.
  • Experience in working with CNC Setters – Programmers.
  • Managerial experience and the ability to work lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience and ability to supervise a team.
  • An understanding of Health & Safety regulations relating to the events industry.
  • Experience of liaising with designers and Production Managers meet client requirements.
